REHABILITATION OF CONCRETE PAVEMENT
This paper describes planning and performance of the restoration of profile of a 7-mile (11.3-km) section of concrete pavement on an interstate highway. Includes data on analysis and execution of traffic control, lane closures, and project planning as well as actual performance of the work. Extensive leveling by slabjacking (pressure grouting) as well as removal and replacement of pavement sections is examined in detail. Work was performed at night and on weekends. Satisfactory replacement concrete was obtained utilizing Type III cement and a 12-hr cure period. /Author/
