RATIONALISED TRANSPORTS MEAN OPTIMUM ECONOMIC SECURITY

The article, a summary of a lecture, discusses transport economy in the light of the present shipping crisis. It stresses the importance of harbour development and quotes the pacific area, in particular Australia, as an example. The "lakes" load/discharge system is described, and the last part of the article deals with service chains and policies throughout the world.
