INERT GAS SYSTEMS: HOW SAFE IN PRACTICE?
The paper discusses inerting, loading with open ports, discharge (with sighting ports closed to guarantee inerting), and ballasting. In spite of alarm systems and precautions, the system is only as safe as the people operating it, the paper says.
