ANALYSIS OF HOUSEHOLD TRIP PRODUCTION RATES
This paper describes the derivation and testing of a set of household category trip production rates. The trip rates were derived from reported trip making from a home interview survey conducted in Toowoomba in 1964. The synthesising ability of the category analysis model using the Toowoomba trip rates was tested for six other Australian cities using data from transportation study reports. The general applicability of the trip rates was tested as the data ranged from 1960 to 1971 and for city sizes from 50,000 to 2 million. Examination was also made of possible modifications to the model to include a measure of zonal accessibility. /TRRL/
