ESTIMATION OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLE OPERATING COSTS FROM FLEET DATA
The procedures adopted for detailed analysis of commercial vehicle operating cost data are described and the problems encountered are discussed. The results of the analysis carried out as part of the NAASRA economics of road vehicle limits study are presented and the application of the derived relationships to specific operations is discussed. The relationships are applied to data on the types and characteristics of commercial vehicles carrying out the transport task, and over all estimates suitable for use in project appraisal are presented. /Author/TRRL/
