TOLERANCES INVOLVING REINFORCING BARS
This paper deals with the tolerances that affect reinforcing bars both in fabrication and placing. The paper defines the current reinforcing bar tolerances as found in the industry and ACI standards. Comparisons are made between these tolerances. Examples of current tolerance requirements are presented. Concluding the paper are several possible approaches future tolerancing practices and standards may take.
