ATTEMPTS AT CONTROLLING SOIL CONSOLIDATION BY MEANS OF INJECTION

TENTATIVES DE CONTROLE DE LA CONSOLIDATION DES SOLS PAR INJECTION

This article presents results obtained during controls on two sites where soil consolidation was carried out by means of injection techniques. Continuous soil compaction measurements and pressiometer test results were used to monitor the homogeneity of the soil mass and improvement in its mechanical characteristics. Before and after studies were made at both sites with gamma-gamma probes and pressure cells permanently installed. Other information collected concerned the spreading of grout in the soil and the importance of deformation phenomena.
