RAILROAD RESEARCH BULLETIN. A SEMI-ANNUAL PUBLICATION OF THE RAILROAD RESEARCH INFORMATION SERVICE

Railroad Research Bulletin is published semiannually--Spring and Autumn issues. Each issue contains 1200 to 1500 abstracts of journal articles, research reports, technical papers and computer programs from worldwide sources, along with 500 to 600 current summaries of U.S. and Canadian ongoing railroad-related research. Coverage is of the broad range of problems associated with the planning, building, maintaining, operating and financing of railroads, light rail transit, rapid transit and advanced guideway systems. Abstracts and summaries in each issue are arranged in separate sections according to the Railroad Research Information Service classification system of 26 categories. Selections are made from more than 200 periodicals and include literature citations received in exchange programs with the International Union of Railways of Europe and with the Soviet Ministry of Railways. While all abstracts are in English, source documents are normally in the language of the country of origin. Each abstract includes an availability statement for the full-text document. In addition to the abstracts and summaries, each 400-page issue contains subject, author and source indexes. The annual subscription for 1977: $25.00. Individual issues: $15.00.
