TRNEWS (FORMERLY TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH NEWS)

This bimonthly magazine contains brief reports of the latest research activity of the TRB, government and industry in the U.S., as well as feature articles on timely subjects, book reviews, and announcements of TRB publications. Forthcoming meetings are noted and profiles of persons active in the transportation field are presented. The first five issues of the year contain 45 to 60 abstracts of current transportation literature, and the last issue of the year (November-December) presents the tentative program for the upcoming TRB Annual Meeting in January. The magazine was formerly titled Transportation Research News. The name of the magazine was changed on issue number 104 (Jan-Feb 1983) to TRNews. In 1976 The News was published bimonthly beginning with issue number 62. The current (1985) price per issue is $6.00 or $25.00 per year.
