CATAMARAN HULL-FORM DESIGN

A design procedure is developed on the concept of an "effective hull form". It consists of two parts, the first part is the design of an effective hull form for the demihull of a catamaran, the second part is the computation of the demihull geometry from its effective hull. A few catamaran design examples are presented in full, including a Conventional catamaran, and "Swath" vehicle and a high-speed container ship, "Mod-Cat".
