CERTIFICATION OF TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING TECHNICIANS
This study was conducted by the Institute for the Certification of Engineering Technicians (ICET) in cooperation with an American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Task Force, and resulted in a program concept for certifying transportation engineering technicians. The program provides for 4 levels of certification in 6 transportation disciplines. Under this program technicians will be certified by ICET upon a showing of relevant experience and performance capabilities verified by professional engineers, and qualified technicians, and upon satisfactory completion of tests administered by ICET.
