SAFETY BARRIERS UPDATE (1994-1996)

This issue of Current Topics include c70 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles on the design, specification, construction, testing, performance, and safety of safety barrier systems. Articles are included on the various types and materials used for vehicle containment barriers on highways in Europe and the USA; terminal treatment systems for longitudinal barriers, bridge parapets, and various types of impact attenuation devices, including crash cushions. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 1994 and 1996. Much of the relevant English language literature from the UK, USA, and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Road Research Documentation (IRRD) database. The previous edition of this title, CT75, covered articles added to the database between 1989 and 1994.
