APPLICATION OF PWS METHOD IN A SMALL SUSPENSION BRIDGE
The material and construction methods of main cable in small suspension bridges are analyzed in this paper. The PWS method (Parallel Wire Strand method) is briefly introduced as well as its application in Anxi Fengchen Suspension Bridge. It can be seen from the application that there should be enough rolls to prevent the bundled belts from bursting as the main cable is erected over the bridge tower, and a structural solution must be taken against the cable clips slipping, and the production standards of finished cable must be established as early as possible.
