TRUCKS BECOME QUICK-CHANGE ARTISTS
Fleet managers with public works departments have been caught in a squeeze in recent years. Whereas the missions of many departments have steadily increased, costs for equipment to perform them have outpaced most capital budgets. This comes at a time of heightened taxpayer scrutiny of all government operations. At first glance, the challenge seems impossible to resolve, but a possible answer may reside in a new generation of truck-mounted equipment with greater versatility.
