THE KEY TECHNIQUES FOR IMPROVING EVENNESS OF ROLLER COMPACTED CONCRETE PAVEMENT
Evenness is one of the main factors which affect roller compacted concrete (RCC) pavement application in high grade roads. In order to solve this problem, a large research project was carried out in the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Communications in the Eighth Five-year Plan of China. Key techniques from a large number of laboratory and field trials for evenness improvement in the research are introduced in this paper. The techniques have been applied in the RCC pavement construction in high grade roads in China.
