THE NEW STOCKHOLM METRO CAR - AN UNDERGROUND PILOT PROJECT

The new Stockholm Metro car has been given the fitting and futuristic project name of Car 2000. The actual vehicle concept projects future orientation - quiet, comfortable, and reliable. The purchasing and design process has also been conducted in a new and pioneering fashion. This article describes the entire process, from the analysis of requirements to the delivery of the first cars at the beginning of 1997.
