COSTS AND BENEFITS OF ADVANCED PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS IN KOREA
This paper lists expected benefits of Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTS) in Korea. Financial and economical prospects of APTS introduction to city bus systems in Seoul, Suwon, and 5 large cities in Korea are analyzed and compared with those of investments on new transport facilities such as highways and subways. Practical issues of APTS application in Korea are also discussed.
