AN APPROACH TO THE MAXIMUM STORM
Four models of extreme storms were constructed that could retain their dynamic stability long enough to generate a fully developed sea. Two time-dependent distributions of wind, wave and swell are computed for each model for use in a realistic computation of directional wave spectra. The "G-4" storm model in its stationary mode contains a maximum deep-water combined sea of over 200 ft height with over 30 second-period.
