THE RESIDENTIAL AREA OF THE FUTURE, THE FUTURE OF THE RESIDENTIAL AREA
DE BUURT VAN DE TOEKOMST, DE TOEKOMST VAN DE BUURT. EEN FLEXIBELE INRICHTING VOOR EEN DEEL VAN BUITENSTAD
For the planning of the new residential area Buitenstad in the city of Dordrecht a flexible layout is the most desirable. People must feel themselves at home in the new area and their particular wishes about the layout should be taken into account, otherwise rearrangements will be necessary and expensive. The choice is for a spacious design, with a lot of consideration for the environment and as little traffic as possible. There are some parking places near houses and parking areas at the border of the area. The area has a restrained traffic and speed limiting measures are taken. See also IRRD 888683.
