INVESTIGATIONS ON THE DAMPING BEHAVIOUR OF STRUCTURAL MEMBERS OF SHIPS

UNTERSUCHUNGEN UEBER DAS DAEMPFUNGSVERHALTEN SCHIFFBAULICHER KONSTRUKTIONEN

Vibration measurements were carried out on decks and the super-structures of six ships by means of a vibration exciter and on three motor plants by means of motor excitation. For one ship an additional calculation of the damped vibration behaviour of the superstructure was made by means of finite element method.
