STATISTICAL ASPECTS OF THE PROBABLE SUCCESS OF REGENERATIVE BRAKING
UEBER DIE ERFOLGSAUSSICHT DER NUTZBREMSUNG; EINE STATISTISCHE BETRACHTUNG
Regenerative braking with respect to saving energy has become an important criterion for the development of new vehicle propulsion systems. The question, however, what kind of energy storage with what kind of energy converter represents the best propulsion system can only be solved after having answered the question, whether the regenerative braking for the given type of vehicle, the given configuration of the roadway, and the given driving conditions is advantageous. This paper describes a method to solve the last question. /Author/TRRL/
