REVIEW OF TRRL RESEARCH (1969-1975) FIELD TESTING AND AGGREGATES

TRRL has conducted research in both the field testing of skidding, and the role of aggregates in providing skid-resistant roads, and this has led to the publication of 21 major reports. These form the basis of the present review which respectively deals with field testing, the part played by aggregates in different types of road surfacings, other factors affecting skidding resistance, skidding standards and research on highly polishing-resistant roadstone. /TRRL/
