INVESTIGATION OF PLASTIC PIPE FOR USE BY THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS
This report presents the findings of a study of commercially available plastic pipe used for water distribution, plumbing, drain-waste-vent (DWV), and sewage systems. The study included a survey of military and civilian users of plastic pipe to determine acceptance, a review of model building codes and standards, and a testing program involving the making of joints under different conditions, chemical and mechanical cleaning of DWV piping, and water hammer tests of plastic pipe plumbing. /Author/
