INTERNATIONAL CEMENT ANALYSIS STUDY. PART 1. CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF CEMENT
Thirty-three laboratories have analysed six cement samples. The results have been collated and compared. Outliers have been removed and the within-laboratory error estimated. Using statistical techniques the results have been analysed to find if laboratory bias is significant and whether analysing by different methods leads to significantly different results. It was shown that when silica, alumina and free lime were analysed by different methods the difference in results was significant and similar in size to the between-laboratory standard deviation. /Author/TRRL/
