This literature survey emphasizes laboratory test methods for measuring properties influencing bituminous mixture adhesion. Methods for testing compacted and uncompacted asphalt, surface dressing and quantitative determination of stripping are outlined. Factors important for adhesion, theories of adhesion formation, models for adhesion breaking, thermodynamic aspects and adhesion agents are briefly described. /TRRL/
