CONCRETE FINISHES - TOLERANCES FOR BLEMISHES
The report is intended to present a method in which the quality of a concrete surface can be expressed in quantitative terms. In some cases limits are given on the magnitude of a blemish while in others it is considered more appropriate to set a limit to the variations between one part of a surface and another. The surface tolerances are designed to relate to concrete surfaces produced directly from a form or mould and do not include blemishes associated with weathering or exposure. The table of tolerances is divided into four classes - a rough class for surfaces where there is no special requirement for finish; an ordinary class where appearance is of minor importance; an elaborate class which applies to definite requirements for appearance; and, a special class which applies to the highest standards of appearance. /TRRL/
