CONTACT LENSES IN CAR DRIVERS FROM THE OPHTHALMONEUROLOGICAL POINT OF VIEW
Clinical experience in 50 professional drivers have proved the possibility of successfully fitting these by hydrophilic soft contact lenses. Not a single significant eye complication was encountered during the 5-year follow up period in drivers wearing contact lenses mostly every day for a total of 8-12 hours daily. The examination was carried out after 10 to 12 hours driving in a day and 6 to 10 hours driving in a night. The process of relaxation in tired drivers was studied by EEG examination, by eye movement recording as well as by skin conductance. /Author/
