EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE LOCAL COMPRESSION-BEARING STRENGTH OF HIGH-STRENGTH CONCRETE UNDER STRIP LOADS
The influence of the compression-bearing area ratio and eccentricity on the local compression-bearing strenth of high-strength concrete specimens is studied under strip loads. Theoretical formulae are derived according to the cuneate model and the principle of limit equilibrium, and practical calculating formulae are also established. In the case of eccentric loading, the linear relationship between the eccentricity and the local compression-bearing strength improving factor is determined according to the experimental results as well as the calculating methods for the effective area of concrete specimens.
