MODULAR LNG FACILITIES DESIGN OFFERS SAVINGS, FLEXIBILITY
This article describes barge-mounted modular-construction LNG facilities for liquefaction, storage and revaporization that can be built quickly and offer possible savings compared to land-based installations. Designs and advantages of the liquefaction plant and receiving, storage and revaporization terminals are discussed. Great flexibility of the terminal design permits easy expansion to meet the increased volume of LNG to be stored and revaporized. An almost unlimited number of offshore locations for these LNG facilities is another advantage.
