AN INFLUENCE MATRIX METHOD FOR THE CABLE TENSION OPTIMIZATION OF STAYED GIRDER BRIDGES
This paper presents an influence matrix method for the cable tension optimization of stayed girder bridges. In this method, the various objective functions of the cable tension optimization of stayed girder bridges are uniformly expressed by cable tension variables and generalized influence matrices, through using the concept of generalized influence matrices. This method can be used in cable tension optimization both after the completion of bridges and during the course of construction of bridges. It is very convenient to implement the method through computer computation because the influence matrices of cable tensions corresponding to the control variables in various objective functions can be formed at the same time. An example is given for demonstration.
