The author examines the clinical and psycho-pathological problems posed by recidivist drinking drivers. This study is limited to recidivist drinking drivers under observation during the year 1972. It is composed of the following parts: the importance of recidivism in drunken driving; the origin of recidivism in drunken driving - comparative rates of alcoholism from successive surveys - special problems. /TRRL/
