Some towns are trying to reduce car traffic in their city centres by splitting that area into sectors, prohibiting direct car trips between them. The author indicates the problems that may arise elsewhere by diverting these car flows and demonstrates this by means of some simulated assignments on schematic networks.(a) /TRRL/
