EURODELTA-TESTSITE IN THE NETHERLANDS: WORKING TOGETHER TOWARDS INNOVATIVE TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS
The EuroDelta-Testsite (EDT) in the Netherlands provides facilities for companies, authorities and research institutes to carry out joint research and development in the field of transport telematics. The EDT can facilitate innovative projects in the field of transport telematics with demonstration set-ups, on-line connections with the main telematic systems in the test area, office space (meeting rooms and working rooms) and expert support. These facilities make the EDT an ideal location for testing innovative traffic solutions in a real world collaborative environment. The EuroDelta-Testsite was set up by the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. The first phase of the experiment is to run until the year 2000. For the covering abstract, see IRRD 490001.
