GUIDELINES FOR ASSESSMENT OF TRANSPORT TELEMATICS APPLICATIONS IN DEMAND MANAGEMENT AND AUTOMATIC DEBITING

The present guidelines have been developed according to a structure proposed by the project CORD led by ERTICO and should be applied for evaluation of demand management and automatic debiting systems (DMAD systems). The aims of the guidelines are: to support individual pilot experiments in preparing their field trial design and evaluation plans; to give an overview of possible evaluation categories and methods; to identify common indicators and to define their exact dimensions; to identify areas of common interest of current ATT projects dealing with DMAD systems and to know where comparisons are possible and where the projects are complementary. The guidelines include an inventory of the technical systems used within the ATT programme, the ATT functions covered, the applications and evaluation methods and indicators used is prepared for the test sites of the three ATT projects: GAUDI: in Barcelona, Bologna, Dublin, Marseille and Trondheim; ADEPT: in Cambridge, Gothenburg, Lisbon, Thessaloniki; ADS: Florence-Milan.
