THE DYNAMIC PROCESS OF OSCILLATORY COMPACTION AND ITS RESPONSE CHARACTERISTICS

Oscillatory compaction is a new compaction technique appearing in the mid-1980's, which rearranges the particles of materials by utilizing the rapid alternating shear stresses occuring in materials, hereby realizing compaction. The characteristics of the interaction between oscillatory rollers and ground are analyzed as well as the feasibility of establishing dynamic models in stages. The dynamic work process of the oscillatory rollers on soils is discussed. Finally explored is the response characteristics of the dynamic system of oscillatory rollers in frequency field and time field. The staged double freedom dynamic model established in this paper can completely meet the needs of describing the dynamic process of oscillatory compaction.
