TRAFFIC EVALUATOR SYSTEM: AN INNOVATIVE DATA COLLECTION TOOL
The Traffic Evaluator System described is an electronic system which collects computer readable data on traffic flow. The system permits computer reconstruction of the interactions among all vehicles as they pass through an instrumented segment of highway as well as completely describes each vehicle and its trajectory. This research tool has been used by Biotechnology, Inc., since 1969. This article describes the system and some of its applications.
