POSTAL VEHICLE MISSIONS
The Postal Service has a program to reduce the operating cost, the dependence on oil-based fuel and the pollution characteristics of its vehicle fleet. Efforts are being made to evaluate all-electric trucks, flywheel electric vehicles, a hybrid electric truck with a small internal combustion engine, and small diesel trucks.
