SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN PAVEMENT SKID RESISTANCE
This article discusses the seasonal or temporal changes in pavement skid resistance by presenting background information, examples of changes which have been observed, and the possible mechanisms involved in the changes. Several consequences of variations in skid resistance are described and the Federal Highway Administration's approach to solving the problem is presented.
