CALGARY TRANSPORTATION PLAN
To ensure high quality living standards that will be sustainable well into the future the city of Calgary has adapted a Transportation Plan as part of its long range planning. As Calgary approaches its threshold population of 1.25 million, new directions are warranted to reduce the dependency on the private vehicle. This report provides an overview of the Plan, its values, goals, foundations, components and approaches. Key policies along with implementation and monitoring strategies that will guide the City in making the Plan work over the years are summarized.
