COMPACTION
LE COMPACTAGE
The authors describe the state of the art of pavement compaction. Emphasis is placed on the research still to be conducted, the problems to solve, criteria for the selection and method of use of the compaction machinery, and the basic common principle of compaction in spite of the variety of equipment and its use. Chapter 1 outlines the evolution in the design of compaction equipment and the multiple utilization of vibratory machines. The following chapter deals with the selection of the equipment. The last chapter discusses its utilization and control techniques. /TRRL/
