AN APPROXIMATION METHOD FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF CREEP AND SHRINKAGE IN STEEL BEAM COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTION
NAEHERUNGSVERFAHREN ZUR BERECHNUNG DES EINFLUSSES VON KRIECHEN UND SCHWINDEN BEI STAHLTRAEGER-VERBUNDKONSTRUKTIONEN
By assuming a concrete stress course affinitive to the creep curve, simple expressions are derived for the ideal elastic modulus of concrete. In an example, the results of the approximation calculations are compared with those from Sattler and Fritz; the resulting deviations are insignificant when the uncertainty of the creep assumptions is taken into account. In a supplement, a comparative study of the design of composite beams in buildings and bridge construction is presented. /TRRL/
