ONE-SIDE AUTOMATIC WELDING APPLIED IN JAPANESE SHIPYARDS

The one-side automatic welding processes are successfully applied to the construction of ships in Japan. Japanese shipyards are now leading European or American shipyards in development and application of one-side automatic welding processes. This paper describes the present status of their wide range application in Japanese shipyards.
