DEVELOPMENT OF RELIABILITY METHODS FOR ASSESSMENT OF SHIP STRUCTURES
ENTWICKLUNG VON ZUVERLAESSIGKEITSMETHODEN ZUR BEWERTUNG VON SCHIFFSSTRUKTUREN
Design criteria for determination of buckling loads caused by wave action and assessment of probability factors for failure of ships' hull and other structural components are defined. Computed results obtained by the finite element methods for prediction of deterioration rates for ship structure due to cyclic loading are presented in graphical form for a variety of influencing parameters.
