CARGO LASHING NOW A COMPLEX ENGINEERING PROBLEM
Investigation of new systems of cargo control to reach new standards in safety is discussed. The system described is based on rods of 36 tons breaking strain which will be supplied in three lengths -- two with eyes at each end and a short rod with a hook at one end to compensate for different container sizes and specially designed Viking hooks.
