PRECIPITATION OF MOISTURE IN ELEVATED-PRESSURE ZONES OF STEAM TURBINES
The condensation of steam in real turbine stages at high flow turbulence is discussed. It is found that turbulence has a marked effect on the initial condensation and precipitation of the liquid phase onto a film on the stationary blading. Data are presented on measuring the amount of liquid in the film in different stages of a seven-stage turbine at elevated pressure.
