IMPORTANCE OF OCEAN WAVE CONTROL STUDY IN COASTAL ZONE DEVELOPMENT
The paper describes existing methods of ocean wave control and characteristics of control structures, and points out that the primary requirement for wave control at present is to find the method to dissipate wave energy efficiently and reliably. From this point of view, some aspects of a study group on wave control are presented with respect to control by breakwaters, such as of submerged, permeable, mobile and quay wall types.
