INVESTIGATION ON "STANDARD FOR CUTOUT IN WEB OF GIRDER, ETC."
A theoretical study of the various problems of structural strength specifically applied to girders and beams where holes have been cut. This study confirms earlier findings about cut-outs and reaffirms the "Cutout Standards" which were established from experience and actual data. The differences between the values established theoretically and those established by experience are small. The area of reinforcement was ignored in this study.
