MARSHALL TEST EXPERIMENTS TO DETERMINE THE INFLUENCE OF FILLERS ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF SOME BITUMINOUS MIXTURES
INFLUENZA DEL FILLER SUL COMPORTAMENTO DI ALCUNI CONGLOMERATI BITUMINOSI ALLA PROVA MARSHALL
This paper attempts to define the significance of the dependence of measured Marshall test properties on the quality and quantity of fillers used in bituminous mixtures. The grading and stability tests described were carried out to improve knowledge of the interconnection between the fillers used and the properties of the resulting bituminous mixtures. The materials studied during the tests were: an alluvial river-bed mixture, powdered hydrated lime, white cement (class cb525), fly ash, blast furnace slag, and semi-solid 80/100 distillation bitumen. Results are shown in tables and graphs. /TRRL/
