THE PROBLEMS OF HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. ROAD GEOMETRY
I PROBLEMI DELLA CIRCOLAGIONE STRADALE LA GEOMETRIA STRADALE STRADALE
This article deals with the vertical and horizontal alignment of roads, and the way in which these can best be adopted to the psycho-physical qualities of man and the technical characteristics of the vehicle. Particular attention is paid to vertical and horizontal transition curves in view of the important effect these have on visibility distances, and consequently on traffic safety. The design and development of clothoide curves is extensively illustrated, and the calculations are shown. /TRRL/
