VEHICLE LOCATION IN CELLULAR MOBILE RADIO SYSTEMS
A tutorial discussion of vehicle location as used to control cellular mobile radio systems is presented. Early concepts and misconceptions concerning vehicle location are described, and the relation between location "accuracy" and system performance optimization is discussed. Measurement parameters commonly used for vehicle location are described, and considerations relating to the algorithm used in the location process are presented.
